Collaborate to build your audience: Get your company in front of more people by Identifying business owners, organizations and others that work with your ideal customer and find ways to collaborate with them. Do an event together, get interviewed on their podcast or blog, promote each other's work on social media and email, or develop a referral relationship. The goal is to create a win-win partnership that will allow you to get your company in front of other peoples audiences in order to grow yours. How many collaborations will you enter into in 2018?
Consistently stay on top of mind: Don’t let your audience ever forget about you. Have a presence and consistently provide valuable content wherever your audience is, and when a potential customer is ready to buy a solution to their problem in your domain or a partner is looking to collaborate with someone, they will think about you. Stay on top of mind by engaging your audience on social media daily, sending out a weekly email, conducting monthly webinars, calling at least 3 partners and customer leads weekly, and by attending at least one relevant event a week. How will you stay on top of mind in 2018?
Standout from the pack: Standing out from the crowd is not just an option any longer if you really want to grow your business in 2018. Other businesses have found ways to stand out and have reaped the benefits, and you should do the same. ConBody, an NYC based gym, stands out by providing prison style workouts taught by ex-cons, Baked by Melissa, a cupcake retailer stands out by providing mini-bite-sized cupcakes, and Studio Wendt, a jewelry maker, stands out by allowing couples to join them in casting/making their own rings.
